Apex is an all-in-one visual factory solution that displays Goal, Actual, and Variance in real time. It includes an LED display (2-3 lines), a hardware device that collects digital inputs (most often to capture the actual count) and transfers this information to a computer and software program. The software program has a friendly graphical user interface to enter the goal information, shift schedules, color coding parameters and other set-up information. This information is then shown on the display. Apex also creates a web page which displays the information shown on the LED display for managers who are not always on the production floor. Apex also creates simple text files showing real-time production information which can be imported into applications like Excel to evaluate performance and trends. It’s very easy to set up Apex and begin showing real-time production information. In addition to the standard product, Apex can be modified to accommodate any application. The Apex software application is sold as a site license, purchased once and used throughout a production facility.

• Determining Character Height

  A general rule of thumb for readability of an industrial LED display is that for every inch of character height the letters can be read from 50' away. For example a 2" high character can be read from 100' away.
